Privacy Policy

The short version

• No account, no user database. Your speeches, vows, versions, and plan status live in your browser's localStorage — on your device, not our servers.
• AI processing is transient. The stories and names you type are sent to our API and forwarded to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate your draft, then returned. We don't store them in a database.
• Payments are handled by our payment processor (Lemon Squeezy). We never see card numbers.
• We do not sell personal data. Ever.

1. Data stored on your device

Wedding Speech AI works without accounts. Stored only in your browser: your speech and vow drafts, their version history, plan/unlock status, free-preview credit usage, and your email if you chose to give it at checkout. Clearing browser storage deletes this permanently — we cannot recover it because we never had it.

2. Data processed to generate your speech

When you answer the interview questions, request a revision, or paste a draft into the Toast Polisher, that text is transmitted over HTTPS to our API and passed to Anthropic's Claude API to generate the response. It is processed to fulfil your request, not written to any database of ours. Anthropic processes API data under commercial terms that prohibit training on it by default.

Practical note: wedding speeches inherently include real names and personal stories about people other than you. That is expected and necessary for a speech that doesn't sound generic — just be thoughtful about what you type, the same as you would with any note-taking app.

3. Payments

Payments are processed in US dollars by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. They collect billing details under their own privacy policy. We receive transaction metadata (product, timestamp, status, billing email) to confirm your purchase and handle support — never card numbers.

4. Cookies

The only cookie we set is a signed plan cookie after a verified payment, used as a best-effort server-side signal. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

5. Data sharing

Only with the processors required to run the Service:

• Anthropic — AI inference on the text you submit
• Vercel — hosting
• Lemon Squeezy — payment processing (merchant of record)

No sale of personal data, no advertisers, no data brokers. We may disclose data if legally compelled, and will resist overbroad requests.

6. Retention

Locally stored drafts persist until you delete them or clear your browser. AI request payloads are not retained by us after the response returns. Payment records are retained by our processors and by us as required by tax and accounting law.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (GDPR, DPDP Act, CCPA, or similar), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port personal data. Because we hold almost none, most requests are fulfilled instantly by clearing your browser storage; for anything held by us or our processors (e.g. billing records), email hello@weddingspeechai.com and we will respond within 30 days.

8. Security

All traffic is TLS-encrypted. Payment webhook signatures are verified with HMAC-SHA256 using a constant-time comparison. Our servers are stateless with respect to your speech content — the most privacy-protective architecture is the one where the data isn't there.

9. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly process their data.

10. Changes and contact
