Vows are not a toast. There is no audience to manage. There is one person, second person throughout, and promises specific enough that they could, in theory, hold you to them.

A lyric is not a promise

A wedding vows generator that writes 'I promise to love you forever' has failed before it starts. That is a lyric. A promise is specific enough that your partner could, in theory, hold you to it: the Tuesday habit, the hard season, the thing you will keep doing when nobody is looking.

The tool on this page is the same vow writer as in the app. It is gated. Speeches give you an outline for free because a speech is a performance you might abandon. Vows are shorter and more personal, and the product asks you to unlock before it writes them. That is deliberate, and it is worth stating before you spend the questions.

Is the wedding vows generator free?

How long should vows be?
Ninety seconds to two minutes, about 150 to 250 words. Longer vows lose the only person they are for.
Can we write them together?
You can share answers. Two people reading one speech in unison is harder than two short separate vows. Most couples are better apart.
Is this different from the vow writer in the app?
